Dr Mitesh Badiani
BDS DPDS
Mitesh Badiani has lectured widely throughout the UK and abroad in implants and local anaesthetic, especially the use of the wand. He is principal of six private surgeries employing over 100 members of staff, including more than 30 dentists. His work is limited to mainly implants and cosmetic dentistry. Dr Badiani is a member of the British Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry and the General Implant Forum and Training. He is on the Advisory Panel of the British Society of Oral Implantology and a member of the Association of Dental Implantology UK.
Dr Philip Bennett

Philip Bennett has over 20 years' experience in dental implantology. In October 2009 he became the first Expert in Implantology of the European Dental Association in Britain. He lectures nationally and internationally on implant dentistry, and lends his weight to many Diploma and MSc courses in the UK. A past President and Education Director for the ADI UK, he is the originator of the ADI’s online training programme ARK and the online audit system ADIA. He is on the editorial board of several journals and is a consultant to a number of implant systems, including DENTSPLY Friadent’s ANKYLOS.
Dr Neil Cooper

Neil Cooper is committed to lifelong learning in the whole field of restorative dentistry. His special interest is the aesthetic restoration of implants, with particular attention to the reconstruction of failing dentitions and edentulous mouths. Dr Cooper is a visiting implant surgeon and prosthodontist with The Face@52 Team and principal at Crossbank Dental Care, an implant referral practice in Cumbria. A member of the Association of Dental Implantology and the British Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry, Neil trained initially in Sheffield, qualifying in 1995.
Dr Mark Diamond
BDS FDS (RCPS) Specialist in Oral Surgery
Mark Diamond has 10 years’ experience in teaching comprehensive dental implant year programmes and is a specialist in oral surgery. He offers a full range of multidisciplinary jaw and occlusal rehabilitation, utilising cone beam scanning technology at his Fortwilliam and Ballymena specialist clinics. Dr Diamond is a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.
Dr Ross Drybrough

Ross Drybrough is a Course Tutor for the Faculty of General Dental Practitioners Implant Diploma programme, which he completed himself in February 2006. He started to study implantology in 1999 and completed many postgraduate courses, including Ashok Sethi’s one year Implant Training programme. In April 2006, Ross opened Worthing Implant Centre referral practice, and is now spending more time treating implant patients. He takes great pride and professional satisfaction from providing outstanding clinical results at the end of treatment. Ross qualified in 1992 in Newcastle and initially worked in a hospital environment before entering general practice in Worthing in 1994.
Dr Eilert Eilertsen

Dr Eilertsen completed his initial training in implants in 1994. He completed Ashok Sethi’s year course in 2000 and did further training with Hilt Tatum. He has now placed more than a 1000 Ankylos implants and has completed more than 120 sinus graft procedures. He is a member of the ADI and has completed the Salford mentoring course. He is willing to place implants and then mentor their restoration on referred patients, either in his own practice or in the referring practitioners premises.
Dr Mark Emms

Mark Emms is principal of The Priors Dental Practice in Penkridge, Staffordshire, where he offers implant therapies and restorative treatment plans. He has undertaken several years of specialised implant training at various centres of dental excellence in the UK. Dr Emms has a Masters degree in Conservative Dentistry from the Eastman Dental Institute in London, where he obtained specialist training in all aspects of conservative and restorative dentistry. Mark qualified from Edinburgh's Royal College of Surgeons in 1985 and since then has run his own practice, which currently enjoys the title of BDA Practice of the Year 2008 amongst its other awards successes.
Dr Koray Feran

Koray Feran has a private practice in London’s West End, more than 16 years experience in implant dentistry and a special interest in multidisciplinary case management including periodontics, restorative and aesthetic dentistry. Dr Feran lectures internationally, is on the Executive Council of the British Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry and is a Lecturer for ADI and the implant MSc course at the University of Salford.
Dr Andrew Greenwood

Andrew Greenwood is a tutor on the Diploma in Implant Dentistry at the Royal College of Surgeons, having completed the course himself in 2005. He is a partner in a private practice in Newcastle Upon Tyne and has a special interest in both the surgical and restorative aspects of Implantology. Andrew is currently studying for the Fellowship of the Faculty of General Dental Practice at the Royal College of Surgeons. He qualified from Newcastle University in 1986.
Dr Mark Haswell

Mark Haswell is a specialist in prosthodontics and has special interests in immediate loading and function. He holds a part-time teaching position at the Eastman Dental Institute, where he teaches the advanced implant dentistry course. He is also a specialist clinical teacher at the University of Warwick. Mark lectures regularly nationally and internationally on all aspects of implant-based treatment and on the editorial board of both UK and US implant journals. Dr Haswell has recently expanded a referral network for implant treatment with over 250 regular referrers, involving training a growing number of practitioners in the restorative treatment of their own patients. Over a 17 year period implant placement at Stradbrook Dental has increased to today’s level of 50-70pcm.
Dr Audoen Healy

Audoen Healy is an examiner for the DipImpDent RCS Eng diploma. He has been a tutor and practice assessor for the RCS Diploma course in Implant Dentistry, as well as a tutor and examiner for both MGDS and FFGDP. He lectures on many topics but mainly recently on implant dentistry.
Audoen first started placing implants in 1994 and has placed well over 1000 since then, with a very high degree of success. He has a particular interest in providing implant solutions which avoid the need to resort to the use of removable dentures in any phase of treatment, for patients who are losing many or all of their teeth.
Dr Healy has owned and worked at The Chiltern Dental Centre in High Wycombe, Bucks, since 1983. The practice is fully equipped for all aspects of implant treatment, including a dedicated CAT scanner. Audoen qualified in 1981 at Trinity College Dublin.
Dr Stephen Jacobs

Stephen Jacobs lectures extensively on all aspects of dental implantology and is experienced with many implant systems. He runs an implant referral practice in Glasgow, where all aspects of implant dentistry are carried out. He has placed/restored over 1,700 implants since starting in implant dentistry in 1992. Stephen is currently completing his MFGDP and has undergone training in the UK, USA and continental Europe. He is Immediate Past President of the Association of Dental Implantology UK, an active member of the Academy of Osseointegration and is on the editorial board of Dental Implant Summaries. He qualified from Birmingham University in 1985.
Dr Nigel Jones
BDS DipImpDent RCS
Nigel Jones has an active interest in advanced dental conservation and is committed to excellence in dental care. He has completed many years of postgraduate training and has successfully placed over 1000 implants. Dr Jones has attained the Advanced Diploma in Implantology and tutors on Cohort 12 of the FGDP Diploma course. He has also completed a year-long programme of specialist training in implantology and attended a number of bone grafting courses. He is a mentor for dentists placing Ankylos implants and is a member of the Association of Dental Implantology. Dr Jones is a Dental Adviser for postgraduate education in Wales and the Marches. He qualified from the London Hospital in 1980. Nigel practises at Smiles Better, a private practice in Abergavenny offering high quality dental care and cosmetic dentistry.
Dr Nadir Khan
BDS FDS RCPS FFD RCSI
Nadir Khan has taught and lectured throughout the UK on the surgical aspects of implant therapy and, in particular, the management of compromised bone situations. He is a specialist oral surgeon and has run an implant referral practice in Colchester since 1997. Dr Khan is an associate specialist in maxillofacial surgery at Colchester and Ipswich hospitals and an examiner for the Royal College of Surgeons in Glasgow and Edinburgh.
Dr Sinead McEnhill

Sinead McEnhill is the director of the Belmore Dental Clinic, 2010 winners of UK Dentistry Best Team and Best Team Northern Ireland, and has been carrying out surgical and restorative implant dentistry for 17 years. She is a tutor and practice assessor for the Diploma in Implant Dentistry course at the Royal College of Surgeons, having gained the qualification in 2007. She now runs surgical and restorative courses for dentists with an interest in implant dentistry. Sinead is a member of the ADI, ICOI and the AACD.
Dr Dermot McNulty

Dermot McNulty is a Lecturer and Examiner for the Royal College of Surgeons, Faculty of General Dental Practice Implant Diploma Courses held in London and Leeds and Course Director for the Implant Diploma Programme in London. He has been actively involved in implant dentistry since 1987 and has extensive experience of all the major implant systems. Dr McNulty has pursued dental implant and restorative postgraduate education both in the UK and abroad. He was awarded the RCS Diploma in Implantology and is continuing the MSc in Implant Dentistry at the University of London. Dermot qualified from Birmingham University in 1982 and, as well as running a successful private referral practice in Bath, he regularly runs courses in implant and restorative dentistry in his tailor-made training centre, which is located adjacent to the practice.
Dr Andrew Moore

Andrew Moore is committed to postgraduate education in the field of implant dentistry. Dr Moore teaches implantology at the Royal College of Surgeons and was one of the first dentists to be awarded the Diploma in Implant Dentistry by the RCS Faculty of General Dental Practitioners. His postgraduate qualifications in implantology include a one year course at The Centre for Reconstructive Surgery, Harley Street, London.
Dr Waseem Noordin

Waseem Noordin is a cohort director, lecturer and examiner on the Implant Diploma Programme at the Royal College of Surgeons. At his private referral practice in Edgware, he runs a wide variety of programmes for dentists who wish to offer implant treatment and full-day courses for dental nurses. Dr Noordin provides assistance to colleagues in case planning and one-to-one mentoring on all aspects of implant treatment. He has completed a Masters Degree in Implant Dentistry at Queen Mary University of London Institute of Dentistry and obtained the Diploma in Implant Dentistry in 2004 from the RCS England. Waseem has been placing and restoring dental implants for more than 20 years, using a number of systems. He is an active member of the ADI and a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.
Dr Raj Parkash

Raj Parkash is currently a course tutor for the Royal College of Surgeons and lectures in implant dentistry with Peter Sochor. He is an examiner for the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh on the Implant Programme. He is actively committed to furthering dental implant training in the UK and has written many clinical articles. Raj has many years of experience with multiple implant systems and has a special interest in treating complex cases. He qualified from King’s College London and was one of the first surgeons to gain the RCS Diploma in Dental Implantology. His practice is limited to implant and advanced restorative dentistry.
Dr Gordon Pate

Gordon Pate has been placing implants since 2003 and has several years’ experience in mentoring. He is principal of a purpose-built practice in Langley, Berkshire, prior to which he had a practice in Slough and was an associate in Uxbridge. Dr Pate restores single unit to full arch cases and is experienced in bone augmentation and sinus lift procedures. Gordon qualified in Glasgow in 1981 and has served four years as VT trainer.
Dr Sharad Patel

Sharad Patel lectures nationally and internationally on cosmetic dentistry, implantology and all ceramic restorative systems. He has been practising implant dentistry for more than ten years, during which he has placed more than 2,000 implants. Dr Patel has enormous enthusiasm for his profession and is driven continually to extend the boundaries of his knowledge. He is a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantology and a certified Instructor for the International Society of Computerised Dentistry. He also enjoys membership of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and the Association of Dental Implantology UK. Sharad offers an additional mentoring programme to teach referring dentists to restore the implants placed by him if they so wish.
Dr Tushar Patel

Tushar Patel has over 25 years of experience in Advanced Restorative Dentistry and Orthodontics. He is a trained mentor for the Association of Dental Implantology UK and a course tutor on the Royal College of Surgeons Implantology Diploma course at Leeds Dental Institute. Dr Patel gained the Specialist Diploma in Implant Dentistry from the RCS in June 2007 and is a Fellow of the Faculty of General Dental Practice (UK). He was awarded postgraduate qualifications in Clinical Restorative Dental Practice from the Eastman Hospital in June 2004.
Dr Duncan Ralston

Duncan runs an expanding private referral clinic founded on cosmetic and implant dentistry. He has successfully placed and restored over 1000 implants in the last 16 years. In 2010 he was awarded the prestigious Diploma in Implant Dentistry at the RCS in London. Since qualifying from Birmingham University in 1984, Duncan has continued to gather both knowledge and skills from recognised centres of excellence across the world. He is an active member of both the Association of Dental Implantology and the British Society of Occlusal Studies.
Dr Jonathan Rees

Specialist in Oral Surgery
Jonathan Rees is a Senior Clinical Teaching Fellow on the MSc in Dental Implantology at the University of Manchester and an examiner for the Diploma in Implant Dentistry run by the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. He also assists dentists in developing implantology as part of their clinical repertoire by sharing his skills and techniques in seminars, lectures and by individual mentoring. Following considerable hospital training, Dr Rees became a specialist in oral surgery, then ran a successful specialist surgical and referral practice. He currently performs implant surgery in a few select locations in the UK.
Dr Peter Sanders

Peter Sanders' primary clinical interests are in dental implantology. He is a Cohort Course Director and examiner on the Implantology course at the RCS, London, from where he gained a Diploma in 2005. Peter has served as Head of Dentistry and Dental Advisor to Marks and Spencer, and set up BUPA's quality assurance programme. He was founding president of the Dentists Media Group and is a fellow of the Pierre Fouchard Academy. Dr Sanders is clinical director of Dental Confidence Ltd, an implant referral practice in Southampton and has recently completed an MSc in Implantology in London.
Dr Nigel Saynor

Nigel Saynor runs several courses and lectures in the UK and overseas on all aspects of implant dentistry, from the simplest restoration to complex, covering bone grafting, sinus manipulation and site development. He is particularly interested in the aesthetic aspects of implantology and how to optimise the outcomes of treatment modalities and protocols. Dr Saynor is a past President of the British Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry, an active member of the American Academy of Osseointegration, local BDA branch chairman and a member of the ADI. He has recently completed his MSc in Implantology at Manchester University and is also an honorary clinical tutor on the MSc programme in Implantology at Manchester Dental Hospital. He is actively involved with the development of implant product and promotion of implantology. Nigel qualified in 1980 with distinction from Manchester University Dental Hospital.
Dr Clive Schmulian

Clive Schmulian works as a full-time general dental practitioner in Glasgow. He passed the Faculty of General Dental Practitioners Diploma in Implant Dentistry in 2006 and is a tutor for the MFGDP(UK)/ MJDF examinations. He undertakes both surgical and restorative stages of implant dentistry as well as bone and sinus grafting. Clive works closely with dentists throughout Scotland and has a special interest in the use of advanced imaging techniques for implant treatment planning.
Dr Sanjay Sethi

Sanjay Sethi owns a private practice in the City of London and has special interests in the restorative and aesthetic aspects of dentistry. Dr Sethi runs hands-on composite courses and lectures on implant dentistry and crown and bridgework both in the UK and internationally. Sanjay founded and coordinates the Dentology Study Club and is on the Executive Council of the British Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry.
Dr Naresh Sharma

Naresh K Sharma has 20 years’ experience of oral surgery in hospital dentistry and 18 years’ experience in implant dentistry. He has several publications to his name and has organised and taught on various postgraduate courses in the UK and internationally. Dr Sharma is on the teaching faculty for the RCS Diploma in Implant Dentistry and is the Director of the RCS Diploma course in Leeds. He has been an examiner, both in the UK and overseas, and has served as Chairman of the Examinations Committee of the Faculty of GDPs. Naresh is a fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists and is currently on the Specialist List for Oral Surgery.
Dr Pearse Stinson
Dr Pearse Stinson BA BDentSc MFGDP DipImpDent RCS
Pearse Stinson has been involved in dental implantology for more than 15 years and has experience of several systems. He completed the Implant Dentistry Diploma with the Faculty of General Dental Practice at the Royal College of Surgeons in 2008, having obtained his primary degree in 1981. Dr Stinson has attended several dental implantology commercial courses and has completed the initial Hilt Tatum year programme. He is a tutor on the SMART year programme in sedation for DCPs.
Dr Barry Tibbott

Barry Tibbott is a clinical lecturer and tutor for the MSc Implant Course at Warwick University Medical School. His experience in complex case management has been achieved through continuous study both in the UK and abroad. He has completed a Masters Programme in Implantology gaining a distinction. He established his private practice in Hove in 1986 where he has an implant referral centre. Dr Tibbott is a member of the Association of Dental Implantology for which he is a clinical mentor and lectures both for the ADI and Dentsply Friadent. He also runs practical courses on the Ankylos implant system. He qualified from the Royal Dental Hospital in 1977.
Dr Jonathan Ziff

Jonathan Ziff has been placing implants for more than fifteen years and delivering implant training for nearly a decade. He runs a number of implant courses and lectures regularly on implant related subjects. He has a particular interest in complex rehabilitative cases requiring a combined surgical, periodontal and restorative approach. Jonathan is in full-time implant practice at his two referral centres in Leicestershire. He qualified from Leeds University in 1987 and has placed and restored thousands of dental implants using leading implant systems. Dr Ziff is a mentor for the ANKYLOS system and offers surgical and restorative care for referred patients.
