Dr Jonathan Ziff

Jonathan Ziff has been placing implants for more than fifteen years and delivering implant training for nearly a decade. He runs a number of implant courses and lectures regularly on implant related subjects. He has a particular interest in complex rehabilitative cases requiring a combined surgical, periodontal and restorative approach. Jonathan is in full-time implant practice at his two referral centres in Leicestershire. He qualified from Leeds University in 1987 and has placed and restored thousands of dental implants using leading implant systems. Dr Ziff is a mentor for the ANKYLOS system and offers surgical and restorative care for referred patients.
Implant Surgical Training for Dental Nurses Friday, 14 October 2011 | One day
This hands-on course is aimed at dental surgery assistants who wish to train in dental implant nursing. It will be of benefit to those who work in a practice with dentists who are learning implant dentistry.
Educational outcome
On completion, participants will be able to carry out full and partial draping techniques required for implant placement. They will assist live implant placement procedures and postoperative cleaning and maintenance protocols of the instruments.

- Hands-on draping procedure
- Observation of implant placement
- Assisting implant placement nurse (in groups of two, repeated throughout the day)
- Asepsis DVD hand-out
- Assisting second stage procedure
