With previous experience of a variety of implant systems, Steve Taylor has presented numerous courses to both technicians and clinicians covering a range of subjects including occlusion, ceramic and implants. He was an Associate lecturer at Manchester Metropolitan University, teaching students in the final year of their degree and on the two-year implant diploma course. Steve is a Fellow of the British Institute of Dental and Surgical Technologists, a full member of the British Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry and the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, and a member of the Association of Dental Implantology UK.
Hands-on ANKYLOS Implant System Course for Dental Technicians Friday, 9 March 2012 | One day
This one-day course is aimed at dental technicians who wish to use the ANKYLOS implant system. It provides a thorough understanding of the system components which the technician may be expected to use.
The programme content covers fixed and removable options, as well as abutment selection for working with gingival masks.

Practical elements:
- Abutment selection exercise
- Abutment milling
- Construction of a resin framework and locating jig for a three unit bridge
- Placement of a lateral fixation screw within a pattern resin frame, which can be cast and finished when back at your own laboratory

With a deserved reputation for expertise in dental implants, the Taylor Dental Technology Centre uses and teaches state-of-the-art dental technology. Established for more than 20 years, the centre has recently been refurbished and extended to provide a dedicated teaching laboratory, allowing courses to be run on weekdays as well as weekends. The TDTC is located in Leyland, Lancashire, which is highly accessible from the north west motorway network.
