Waseem Noordin is a cohort director, lecturer and examiner on the Implant Diploma Programme at the Royal College of Surgeons. At his private referral practice in Edgware, he runs a wide variety of programmes for dentists who wish to offer implant treatment and full-day courses for dental nurses. Dr Noordin provides assistance to colleagues in case planning and one-to-one mentoring on all aspects of implant treatment. He has completed a Masters Degree in Implant Dentistry at Queen Mary University of London Institute of Dentistry and obtained the Diploma in Implant Dentistry in 2004 from the RCS England. Waseem has been placing and restoring dental implants for more than 20 years, using a number of systems. He is an active member of the ADI and a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.

Simplifying Implant Dentistry Thursday, 1 November 2012 to Friday, 2 November 2012 | Two days

This two-day course is designed to give the dental surgeon an essence of implant dentistry, by demonstrating the most predictable methods of achieving success with implant treatment.

Course Summary

During the course participants are taken through treatment planning, patient selection, surgical placement and fitting the final restoration, by live demonstrations using the ANKYLOS implant system. Attendees observe the main stages in the restoration of missing teeth with dental implants, from surgical placement through to fitting of the final prosthesis.

Educational outcome

On completion, attendees gain a comprehensive knowledge of implant dentistry and familiarity with the ANKYLOS implant system. Following the course, participants should be competent to assess the suitability of patients for implant treatment and offer the option of implant therapy in their practice.

Implant placement in the aesthetic zone (single or multiple implants, or SynCone system, depending on case availability)

Transfer impression techniques on demo models

Live surgery definitive impressions/fit final prosthesis
