Dr Mark Diamond

BDS FDS (RCPS) Specialist in Oral Surgery

Mark Diamond has 10 years’ experience in teaching comprehensive dental implant year programmes and is a specialist in oral surgery.  He offers a full range of multidisciplinary jaw and occlusal rehabilitation, utilising cone beam scanning technology at his Fortwilliam and Ballymena specialist clinics.  Dr Diamond is a Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.


Dr Pearse Stinson

Pearse Stinson has been involved in dental implantology for more than 15 years and has experience of several systems.  He completed the Implant Dentistry Diploma with the Faculty of General Dental Practice at the Royal College of Surgeons in 2008, having obtained his primary degree in 1981.  Dr Stinson has attended several dental implantology commercial courses and has completed the initial Hilt Tatum year programme. 


 

Interactive Surgery and Prosthetics Year Course in Implantology Friday, 14 May 2010 to Saturday, 12 March 2011 | Ten days over eleven months

The Interactive Surgery and Prosthetics Implantology Year Course offers full training in all aspects of placing and restoring dental implants. This programme has been running successfully since 2002 and has trained dozens of dentists from the UK and Ireland. Course presenters, Mark Diamond and Pearse Stinson are based in Belfast and can offer particularly good clinical support to dentists in Northern Ireland and the Irish Republic.

Course Summary

The clinically-based course enables participants to treat their own patients under guidance, at discounted prices (which helps cover course fees). Each day involves “hands-on” treatment on the relevant procedures, plus multimedia lectures to complement the clinical component.

Educational outcome

On completion of the course, participants can identify suitable cases to treat safely and manage complications should they arise. The course content is comprehensive; CPD approved, and leads to a Certificate in Implant Dentistry.

The Fortwilliam Clinic, Belfast, is a referral only centre, dedicated to oral surgery and implantology,which offers state-of-the-art equipment for teaching and performing dental implantology.

Fees

£350 + VAT per day (advance bookings only)
£395 + VAT (individual days – subject to space)
Course fees include plastic models, animal models and all instrument kits, tea, coffee and snacks on site, lunch in the vicinity.

Restricted to a maximum of ten dentists.
